The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Western provides certificate programs to support lifelong learning about EDIDA. These programs are designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to create a more inclusive and equitable environment in their workplace, community and beyond. Below are the available certificate programs and awards of achievement.

Anti-Racism Foundations Certificate Program

Learn about racism and its dimensions, the history of racism in Canada and different elements perpetuating systemic barriers, such as biases, stereotypes, myths, microaggressions and macroaggressions.

Award of Achievement in Anti-Oppression

Reflect on systems of oppression towards Black, Asian, Muslim and Jewish communities and examine the impact of stereotypes on these groups in the Canadian context.

Anti-Oppression Certificate Program

Explore and learn more about sexism and misogyny, ageism, ableism, anti-Indigenous racism and oppression toward 2SLGBTQIA+ communities among others.
